The report of the American Customer Satisfaction Index report provided that Apple leads the race in the customer satisfaction report in front of Samsung, Motorola and Nokia. Though the difference is not much yet Apple has emerged as the leader.

With the huge sale of the Iphone 5 it was the Iphone 5 which has makes Apple the winner of the customer satisfaction index. Apple leads with 81% of the rating leaving Samsung and the others.

The reports also provide that the Korean Smartphone company Samsung was leading with its unlimited sale of the Samsung Galaxy S3. It customer satisfaction had jumped about 7% which led to its rating being 76. It is pretty much praise worthy to see such a leap. At the same time when Apple and Samsung were in the war the others HTC, LG etc saw a drop on their ability to impress the customers. Their falls make the competition easier.

The reports gives by ACSI of Apple leading in the tiff is fully valid as the rating have been taken from the poles conduct on Television, Computer and wireless phone services etc. The survey consisted of 70000 people in the US which proves that Apple reaches the Zenith.

Following the Google’s announcement of releasing the Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Edition at the I/O Developers Conference, online forums and Twitter became a great platform for many Android fans who expressed their desire to see the HTC One Google Edition.

Aiming not to hurt the sales of the HTC One, the firm has denied working on a ‘Nexus Edition’ of its flagship device.

However, a recent tweet by HTC’s developer, LlabTooFeR says that Google and HTC are working together to release an HTC One Google Edition smartphone. In order to run Android on its device, the HTC One Google Edition will drop Sense 5. Samsung, we hear is also dropping TouchWiz in its Galaxy S4 in order to run stock Android.

The Google Edition smartphones will run on Android with unlocked bootloaders to make it easy for developers to work with the device. These Nexus smartphones will also offer prompt system updates, which otherwise at times take months to reach the smartphones or tablets.

Samsung Galaxy S4 has landed itself in deep waters as we hear owners of the device grumble about certain issues that aren’t going well with the smartphone. Touted as being the best-selling Android smartphone, the Galaxy S4 is expected to hit the milestone of 10 million sales all over the world. But will the device achieve it or would Apple iPhone 6 take advantage of the issue?  Following sales, the device is hit with a list of complains, the latest being with its sound quality. Though the Galaxy S4 looks attractive enough to entice users to bag it, these complaints from its owners make us wonder whether it is worth the upgrade from Samsung’s Galaxy S3.         

For someone who wants to be a proud owner of Samsung’s flagship device, it is important to think about all the pros and cons. Considering the complaints so far, let’s get ready to face them. Read on to know top five reasons why the Galaxy S4 is not going down as well as the Galaxy S3.

1. Overheating of the device

Trouble clouded the Galaxy S4 early in May, when users complained that the device reached a temperature so high that it got almost unfeasible for them to hold it against the ear while talking. One of the owners of Galaxy S4 wrote on XDA-Developers forum, “I’ve just now received my Galaxy S4 with Exynos-Octa processor, and from the first minute I noticed overheating, specially in the ear area and it’s annoying, is anyone faced the same problem?”

Overheating of the device makes it totally uncomfortable to hold in hand. Hoping that Samsung will seriously look into the issue, another user of the Galaxy S4 wrote, “The problem is the heat is from the screen side, sometimes I can’t talk with it! Hope it’s a software problem and to be solved soon.”

2. Battery Problem   

Samsung used a powerful 2600mAh battery in its Galaxy S4, which saw an upgrade from the Galaxy S3′s 2100mAh. Surprisingly, issues regarding a drained battery are hovering over the device with users complaining of the problem they got in hand.  

One of the owners wrote on XDA-Developers forum, “I’ve noticed that I have the famous ‘mediaserver battery drain’ issue too. Check under ‘Settings -> More -> Battery’ and see if ‘Mediaserver’ is at the top of the list, and if so, what percentage? Mine is sitting at 55%. I’m down to 31% battery life after 2hours 43mins of use. I suspect the overheating is a symptom of this misbehaving mediaserver, but I could be wrong.”

3. Purple Smear on Phone’s Display

Users of the Galaxy S4 are also complaining about some smearing issues on the phone’s display, with a shade of purple on the letters. One of the owner writes, “Ok I picked up my new Galaxy S4 today, I’ve owned all the galaxy handsets and been pleased with them. However I noticed some weird screen issue earlier, basically while scrolling dark greys on blacks smudge/smear purple.”

4. Rebooting 

Apparently, the Galaxy S4 is facing complaints of malfunctioning when the device’s camera is launched using the lockscreen widget, which in turn reboots the device out of the blue. There are users who complained that this issue followed the recent Galaxy S4 software update.

One of the users wrote, “I have a weird ‘bug’ that has been occurring randomly. When I launch the camera using the lockscreen widget, app start, camera shows no image and bam, reboot. After they reboot, doing the same thing doesn’t cause a reboot. Weird. Anyone else has this ‘bug?’ 

This rebooting issue can get quite infuriating for users and we hope Samsung looks into it as soon.

5. Issue with Sound or Headphones 

One of the users on XDA-Developers forum wrote, “Anyone having issues with audio crackling/distortion when using headphones? It seems with audio volume above 50% using UE600 headphones I get crackling/distortion that gets worse as I increase volume. I’ve read other reports of similar audio issues with decent headphones but not sure what the issue is. I tried stock, cx-270 and koss headphones but they don’t display the issue.”

This issue of crackling sounds when listening to music at a high volume occurs when users use different headphones instead of Samsung earphones.

When it comes to the realities behind the much awaited Samsung Galaxy Note 3, the leaks, speculations and rumors connected with the same are certainly forthcoming. The phablet has presented its footprint on AnTuTu benchmarks, where it has been marked as “N7200”. Well, as the Note 2 happens to be “N7100”, it is only fair to assume that it is the Note 3 which has been showcasing itself in the AnTuTu benchmarks.

As per an article published in the GSM Arena on 21^st of May, the Galaxy Note 3 or the N7200 appears in several results via the benchmarks set by AnTuTu. According to the report, the one which promises a real deal is the GT-N7200 which runs on Android 4.3 and has a CPU of 1.6GHz. This is incidentally the same speed as that clocked by the Exynos 5 Octa which is found in the I9500 Galaxy S4.

Although the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 did not get high ratings as its predecessor Samsung Galaxy S4,it is quite likely that its clocking was completed much before the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean was incorporated into the Note 3.Notes happen to have over clocked chipsets when compared to their Galaxy S counterparts. The Note 3 has also showcased other devices like the Xiaomi Mi-3—which runs on a four Krait 400 CPU core clocking at 2.1GHz and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset.

As telecomm watchers speculate on the various specs and features of the LG Nexus 5, we have explored a novel concept design for the model—which seems both outrageous and little awesome.

An article published on Tuesday, May 21, in the “Phones Review” has showcased another design for the wacky Nexus 5—this time by TechnoToast—the Deviantart user. The features stocked in Nexus 5 are Android 4.3 along with a 32 megapixel camera located both at the back and front .The camera is capable of shooting videos of up to 4K resolution. The other specs include a 7000mAh battery, 3.2 Ghz Octo-core processor and 8GB of RAM.

The concept design of the Nexus 5, also imagines a phone which has other standard features for connectivity including 4G connectivity, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, etc. The other noteworthy features are:

• A Full HD 1080p
• It is heavier but thinner than the Nexus 4, giving it a more premium feel.
• 4.8 inches screen (459ppi)
• Gorilla Glass 4 – the scratch free and unbreakable glass at the back and front
• A band made of stainless steel which wraps itself around the phone.

According to this young scientist, the device she has invented can last for 10,000 charging cycles of the cell phone as compared to regular chargers that last only for about 1,000 charging cycles. The efficiency of this device lies in its ability to store a high amount of energy within a minute. That’s how it can provide swift cell phone charging service.

She stood winner among the 16,000 participants from over 70 nations. The California-based teenager earned $50k in awards for her amazing work. Her rectangular-shaped super capacitor device can be installed inside the smartphone for complete recharge of battery within 20 seconds. Her frequently dying cell phone battery inspired her to carry out this discovery. She is going to utilize the award money to promote her studies at Harvard University.

Gamers, developers, fans… Keep your eyes open as we hear that Microsoft is planning to unveil the successor to its Xbox 360; the Xbox 720 video game console at the 2013 Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3). Codenamed “Durango”, the Xbox 720 is expected to be launched right in time for the holiday season, in direct competition with Sony’s PS4, which is also slated for release during the holiday season.

In a blog post, Larry Hyrb, Microsoft’s Director of programming for Xbox Live (the console’s internet service), mentions a countdown for this year’s E3 event along with the message “And it’s on….”

Rumors say it that users will be able to bag the next-gen console at a price in between $300 to $500. Some speculations also claim that the Xbox 720 will come with an AMD system-on-a-chip codenamed “Jaguar,” that’s a user interface similar to Windows 8.

Sony’s PS4, on the other hand, is expected to cost around $400 or above, cheaper than its predecessor: PS3 when launched. The high price and average game library of the PS3 made some causal gamers buy the Wii and Xbox.

Apparently gamers will enjoy the holiday pricing battle between the PS4-Xbox 720 console war.

There has been lot of expectations from the new Xbox. The hardware and software giant is hoped to design it to be six times stronger than its predecessor, which will also make the Xbox 720 around 20 percent stronger than the Wii U. The future console might also come with increased role of motion controls, upgrading its current Kinect peripheral to use increasingly accurate detection of body movement.

A little disappointment to gamers, the Xbox 720 might also discourage used game sales by involving a code activation method that basically locks each disk to one console. Other changes include a switch to Blu Ray and a bigger focus on Cloud gaming.

Considering choices in games, the strongest hint indicates towards a new series by Bungie, the mastermind behind the original Halo trilogy.

Some of the reports suggest that the next generation Xbox 720 might feature 1.6GHz dual-core AMD processors, custom 800MHz graphics processor, and 8GB of GDDR3 RAM. A further possible feature would be the compatibility of Xbox 720 to play Xbox 360 disks using an x86 chip built inside the new gaming console.
